I weighed 136.8 this morning. I am bracing myself for a bit of a gain here. Maybe even 5 pounds. I am working out HARD. So I know that muscle weighs more than fat. So for a while here I am just going to make sure I am eating healthy and watch how my clothes fit. I KNOW that I am more healthy than I have been in a while, so the number on the scale is just that and nothing more. A number on the scale. Thought I would never say that. :)

Day 1 - Maintenance

Today is my first day of maintenance. Meaning I can eat anything I want, but I need to stay within 2 pounds of my weight right now. If I do have a bad day, I will immediately have a mini-steak day.

TOTAL SHOCKER... I weighed 136.4 this morning. TOM is still making his monthly visit...I was expecting a HUGE gain from all the food I ate last night at our anniversary dinner. For dessert I had a white chocolate chip brownie rocky road ice cream sandwich...oh- and did I mention that it had marshmallow fluff topping??? Yeah. Oh, and Natalie didn't eat all of hers, so I finished it off. And
I STAYED THE SAME WEIGHT! Whoo Hoo!

Day 21 - Stabilization

I weighed 136.4 this morning. TOM is making his monthly visit...I was actually expecting a bit more of a gain with that and the extra calories from my mom's house last night (I had about a 2 inch square of the cake she made, and a 2 inch square of mint chocolate brownies. Everything else I ate was within protocol, though probably larger of a portion size than normal...but I certainly didn't overdo it!)

TONIGHT is our anniversary. We all were assigned different courses that we are going to choose and make. Mackenzie got the appetizer so she is making deviled eggs. I got the salad, so I am making a healthy Broccoli salad, Brian is making a healthy recipe of apple chicken in the crockpot. Alex is making an ooey gooey lush and rich dessert of marshmallow fluff, rocky road ice cream, white chocolate chips, and more...

I had the taco salad at potluck today for church. About 3 pm my stomach started feeling a bit upset...not sure why. I ate my afternoon snack, and then I decided I am most likely done today (I am writing this at 5:45 pm). My tummy is just yuck. I don't know if there was seasoning or what in the taco meat, which is weird because NOTHING usually upsets my stomach, but something just didn't agree with me. I am going to drink some Ginger tea and lots of water to flush this bug out of my system.

Day 12 - Stabilization

Today I weighed 136.8 which is a gain of 1 pound over yesterday, but is exactly my LIW. I have to be honest here though, I didn't eat my diet plan yesterday, at all. I just snacked throughout the day (on healthy stuff, but WAY too much organic trail mix), and I even had a half of a chocolate chip cookie and 2 or 3 bites of Indian Fry Bread. I can't even tell you why I did it. My hubby is out of town dealing with my father-in-law and his cancer, and I just kind of went and fell off the band wagon, so to say.

So today, just to be disciplined, I am going to do a modified correction day of 6 apples and 6 servings of cheese. And lots of tea and water.

Day 10 - Stabilization

Oh MY! This diet is going to cost me a fortune! I just tried on my summer clothes that I bought for the cruise last May and they are hanging on me...I will need to get a whole new wardrobe! I only weigh about 4-6 pounds less than I did on the cruise, but it made a whole size difference in clothes I think! And I still plan on losing another 5-6 pounds or so... Bummer.... ;)

I weighed 135.4 this morning for a loss of 1.5 pounds. That mini steak day worked really well...almost too well! I want to keep my weight stable at 136.8 or so for 3 weeks. It is important not to swing 2 pounds in either direction from my LIW so that my body resets its metabolism.

The labs are in!

(the reason for the post being so "introductory" is that I posted this on my regular blog where some people don't know about the hCG blog)

So most of you that live by me know that about 60 days ago I made a new plan for a healthy lifestyle. I went on a strict diet/detox for 40 days and dropped 27 pounds. Well, even though I feel amazing, I wanted to make sure that my insides felt good too! Especially because all the controversy with losing that amount of weight so fast. I called my OB/GYN up last week and told him I was done with the diet/detox and that I wanted labs done immediately. I went in the next morning. Well, the nurse, Marge, called my a couple days later and said "Well, young lady, you must have a very good exercise and fitness plan...your labs are incredible!" Hah! Little does she know I haven't done a bit of exercise in a full 40 days! It is amazing what happens to your body when you put the RIGHT amount and the RIGHT kinds of food in it! She said that most women struggle to keep the "bad" cholesterol under the recommended 100. Most have it around 150. Mine was 50! Good to know my insides feel as good about my lifestyle change as the outside does! :)

Grand Total: 1461 calories - 30 calories for missing the tomato for a total of 1431 calories

What a fantastic day! I ate really well. The only reason I missed the tomato is just because I forgot to include it in my dinner (I have to pack our dinner for dance on Tuesday nights). I worked out today with TurboJam and I feel great! :)
